With over 40 years of experience, Dr. Hughart’s areas of special interest include vestibular diagnostics, hearing aid recommendations & fitting, and practice management. She conducts workshops throughout the US & Canada teaching cerumen management & foreign body removal. Dr. Hughart is an adjunct professor at Auburn University, and recipient of numerous awards, most recently the prestigious Leo Doeffler Award for Lifetime Clinical Practice. Married with 2 children, Dr. Hughart enjoys spending time with her family, playing the violin and exercising.
She went on to obtain her medical degree from Mercer University during which she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha and Phi Beta Kappa Honors Societies. She completed residency in Otolaryngology- Head & Neck Surgery at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond. Dr. West is a Woodstock, GA native who is thrilled with the opportunity to return to her community. She comprehensively treats conditions of the ear, nose, and throat in patients of all ages. She is particularly interested in the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea, sinonasal disease, and pediatrics. Dr. West is proud to serve her community and to improve her patients’ well-being and overall quality of life. Outside of work Dr. West enjoys spending time with her husband Brian and goldendoodle Lily, reading, trying new restaurants, and traveling the U.S. and internationally.
